Photoepilation

Softer skin & long-lasting results

Remove unwanted hair and reduce discomfort caused by shaving.

Unwanted hair is a common concern, both for aesthetic reasons and everyday comfort. Temporary methods like shaving and waxing can irritate the skin, lead to ingrown hairs, and result in quick regrowth that’s often thicker or more uncomfortable. Over time, the skin can become more sensitive, uneven, and prone to redness.

Our personalized photoepilation solutions target the hair follicle to progressively reduce hair density and slow regrowth, all while respecting the skin. Using laser or IPL technologies, treatments help improve skin smoothness and uniformity, minimize irritation, and provide lasting comfort through a safe, tailored approach adapted to your skin and hair type.

Laser & IPL

Photoepilation treatments target the hair follicle at its source to progressively destroy the cells responsible for regrowth. By converting light energy into controlled heat, they gradually reduce hair growth in targeted areas and promote long-term hair reduction. The treatment and choice of technology are carefully adapted based on skin type, hair colour, treatment area, progression, and sensitivity to ensure safe, effective care.

Frequently asked questions

01. Is photoepilation permanent?

Photoepilation provides long-lasting hair reduction. After a series of treatments, regrowth slows significantly, with hairs appearing finer, like soft down, and even disappearing entirely in certain areas. Maintenance sessions may still be needed over time, particularly in cases of hormonal changes that can trigger new hair growth.

02. Which areas of the body can be treated with photoepilation?

The most commonly treated areas include the legs, underarms, bikini, arms, back, and chest. Some areas of the face, including the upper lip, chin, or neck, can also be treated, subject to a prior assessment to adapt laser settings based on skin sensitivity and hair density.

03. Can all hair colours be treated?

Photoepilation is most effective on dark hair. Very light, blonde, red, or white hair responds less effectively to treatment, which is assessed during the consultation. Different types of lasers may be used, such as Nd:YAG, alexandrite, or diode lasers. A combination of these three wavelengths may also be recommended to optimize treatment effectiveness.

04. What’s the difference between photoepilation lasers and medical aesthetic lasers used for skin rejuvenation?

Photoepilation lasers are specifically designed to target the hair follicle and achieve long-term hair reduction. Their energy is calibrated to be absorbed by the hair’s melanin and act directly on regrowth. Medical aesthetic lasers, on the other hand, are used to improve overall skin quality. They address pigmentation, redness, skin texture, and signs of aging by stimulating the skin’s natural regeneration process. While both use laser technology, their indications, parameters, and objectives are fundamentally different.

05. What factors can reactivate hair growth, even after a course of photoepilation?

Hormonal variations, like those associated with pregnancy, menopause, or certain imbalances, are among the most common causes of new hair growth. Genetics, age, and specific medical conditions may also influence this process. In these cases, the new hairs that reappear are finer and less dense. Previously treated follicles have been eliminated. Periodic maintenance sessions, as needed, help preserve long-term results.
